Bats Stay Loud in Maple Grove
Box Score 4/11/2025
Maple Grove 10, Eden Prairie 5
The Crimson bats stayed hot with senior Maddex Van Slooten (2/3, SAC, R, 3RBI) and junior Connor Wihlm (2/3, 2x2B, 2RBI) leading the way. Ian Schock (W, 5IP, 2H, 3ER, 5K) took charge on the mound, pitching brilliantly for five innings before tiring in the sixth and giving way to Vince Lenmark (2IP, 4H, 2R, 2K) to finish.
Eden Prairie opened the scoring in the first inning with a solo home run, but that would be all they could muster until the sixth, while Maple Grove posted three runs of their own in the second, and two more each in the fourth and the fifth to build a 7-1 lead. The Eagles finally created a bit of a spark in the sixth, plating four runs to cut the lead to 7-5; however, the Crimson answered back with three in the bottom of the sixth to extend the lead to 10-5 before Lenmark finished the game on the hill with a masterful seventh.
