Crimson beat Royals comfortably in Lake Conference opener

The Crimson started the scoring early with a one-out walk in the top of the first from senior Ian Farley (1/3 BB R SB), who then proceded to steal second base. Senior Oliver Taynton (2/3 BB R RBI) followed with a RBI single, giving Maple Grove a lead they would never relinquish.
Senior Evan O'Dwyer (GS W 6IP 12K BB 5H 2R) took the hill for the visitors and pitched six strong innings, striking out 12 and securing the victory. Max Wegwerth (IP 2K H) came in to close the door in the seventh and help the Crimson win their first ever Lake Conference baseball game.
Junior Vince Lenmark (2/3 2B BB R 3RBI SB) was also solid at the plate, with other hits coming from senior Preston Berg (RBI 1B), senior Connor Wihlm, junior Damian Seubert (RBI 2B), and O'Dwyer (2B).
Maple Grove added to their 1-0 lead in the second, scoring two more runs on Lenmark's single, and then produced five more runs in the third on RBI doubles from Seubert and Lenmark in addition to RBI singles from Farley and Berg.
