Bengals Walk Off Crimson in Seventh

The Crimson took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth with a two-out single from sophomore Vince Lenmark (1/3, R) and an RBI double from senior Maddex Van Slooten (1/3, 2B, RBI). After senior Ian Schock (4IP, 2H, 0R) pitched a scoreless bottom half, Maple Grove added to their lead in the fifth as junior Joey Limric (1/2, HBP, SAC, R, SB) reached on a hit by pitch, sophomore Beckett Shimpa (1/3, BB) walked, and senior Connor Johnson (1/4, 2B, RBI) followed with an RBI double.

Blaine plated a lone unearned run in the bottom half of the fifth with a fielding error, a throwing error, and a two-out RBI single. The Bengals then tied the game in the bottom of the sixth with a lead-off single, a walk, a sac bunt, and a sacrifice fly. After Maple Grove failed to score in the top of the seventh, the home squad led off the final half inning with a single and a sac bunt before the lead runner was cut down for out number two on a fielder's choice ground ball to the pitcher. After a stolen base, a passed ball and a walk, the Bengals walked off the Crimson 3-2 when a ground ball to third base was thrown away for an error.
