Senior Evan O'Dwyer (W CG 6IP 10K 2BB 2H 0R) secured his second and the team's third win of the season with a complete game shutout over the Roseville Raiders. The Crimson offense started early with three runs in the first off a leadoff single, three walks, and an error. After a scoreless few half innings for both teams, the visiting MG bats came to life, scoring two runs each in the third and fourth, before securing a healthy five runs in the top of the sixth to take the final 12-0 lead.
With O'Dwyer shoving on the mound, the Maple Grove hitters spread around the wealth at the plate. Seven of the nine starters had hits. Eight players reached base. And all nine batters drove in and/or scored a run.
Next up for the Crimson: at Bentfield Mills Park in Buffalo, MN, vs. the Bison at 6:30pm, Wednesday, April 15th.
