Wayzata plates nine, MG bats aren't enough

The Crimson outhit the Trojans eight to seven on the day, but still lost by six runs. Junior Damian Seubert (3/3 SB) led the way at the dish with three hits, while senior Oliver Taynton (2/3 R RBI) also had a multiple-hit day, and junior Vince Lenmark (1/4 2B) and senior Evan O'Dwyer (1/4 2B R RBI) each added a double.
Wayzata opened the scoring in the third with a bases-loaded three-run double, and after Maple Grove plated a run of their own on a Taynton single to cut the lead down to two, the Trojans answered back in the fifth with a four run tally. The scoring continued with the Crimson scoring two runs in the sixth on O'Dwyer's double and senior Connor Wihlm's (1/2 BB RBI) RBI single to again cut the lead down; however, the visitors answered immediately int he top of the seventh with two of their.
Grady Hague went six innings on the mound for the Trojans before giving way to Noah Carpenter to close things out. Senior Matthew Kuno (L 3IP 4H 3R 2BB K) started on the hill for the Crimson, giving up the first three Wayzata runs, and taking the loss.
