Bison stack four runs in the fourth to give Crimson first loss
Box Score 4/15/2026
Buffalo 5, Maple Grove 0
Senior Matthew Kuno (GS L 3.1IP 4K 3BB 3H 4ER) and Buffalo's Aiden Marconett battled for three scoreless frames before the Bison bats erupted for four runs in the bottom of the third. Junior Vince Lenmark (0.2IP H 0R) came in to help quash the rally, but the damage was done as the Crimson bats fell silent for most of the night. Buffalo scored one more run off of junior Beckett Shimp (2IP 4K BB 0H ER) and kept Maple Grove scoreless for all seven innings.
At the plate, seniors Joey Limric (1/3), Oliver Taynton (1/2 HBP), and Preston Berg (1/2 SAC) produced the Crimson's three hits off Buffalo's lefty hurler. This was Maple Grove's first time being shut-out this spring, having scored twenty-eight runs over the first three games of the season. MG moves to 3-1 overall (2-1 in Lake Conference play) with five games scheduled for the next week: Monday at STMA, Wednesday vs Edina, Friday at Tonka, and Saturday at Waconia vs Duluth East & Waconia.
Next up for the Crimson: another Lake Conference match-up at St Michael-Albertville, Monday at 4:30pm
