Maple Grove lost to Wayzata 4-0 on Thursday at Wayzata. The Trojans scored two early runs in the second with a single from Bredemus, then added two insurance runs in the sixth on a single from Mohs. Neither team lit up the box score, with Wayzata outhitting the Crimson five to two on the day. Seniors Preston Berg (1/3) and Ian Farley (1/3) provided the only base knocks for the visitors. Junior Damian Seubert (GS L 5.1IP 4H 4R 3K) took the loss for MG, with sophomore Max Wegwerth (0.2IP H 0R K) providing relief. The regular season ends with a 14-7 overall record for the Cirmson, with a 7-7 record in Lake Conference play. Maple Grove (#3) gets seeded below Champlin Park (#2) in section play and will host Rogers for game one after the holiday weekend.
