Bison Strike Early, Take Advantage of Crimson Mistakes

Sophomore Beckett Shimpa (3/4, 2x2B, R) belted two doubles amidst a great day at the plate; however, Maple Grove  commited three errors and Buffalo took advantage, scoring seven runs on seven hits, including a three run blast in the fifth. Crimson pitching was again pretty stellar. Senior Ian Schock (L, 4.2IP, 7H, 2ER, 2K) was solid on the hill to start, and senior Brody Berglin (2.1IP, 0H, 0R, 2K) shut down the Bison in his work on the mound, giving MG bats a chance to strike back at the Buffalo. Unfortunately, the home team could not match the visitor's run total, leaving nine men stranded on base while matching the Bison in the hit column. The Crimson fall below .500 for the 2025 season and look to bounce back versus Andover on Thursday.
