Back and Forth Affair Goes to MG as Taynton and Johnson Both Go Yard

Junior Evan O'Dwyer (4IP, 5H, 1ER, 3K) pitched a solid four innings to start the game, senior Brody Berglin (W, 2IP, 3H, 2R, 2K) bridged the fifth and sixth for the win, and senior Ian Schock (SV, IP, 0H, 0R, 2K) closed the door for the Crimson in the seventh as Maple Grove won their only game scheduled at Crimson Field this season.
At the plate, sophomore Vince Lenmark (2/3, BB, 2R), junior Oliver Taynton (2/3, HR, SF, 2R, 4RBI), and junior Joey Limric (2/2, BB, R) paced the Crimson bats with two-hits a piece; with Taynton and senior Connor Johnson (1/3, HR, BB, 2R, 2RBI) both hitting home runs.
Maple Grove scored three early runs in the bottom of the second on Taynton's home run and a couple of Roylas errors to take the lead 3-0; however, the Royals stormed back with four runs of their own in the top of the fourth. The Crimson responded in the fifth with a sac fly from Taynton to tied the game and a two-run jack from Johnson to retake the lead. Rogers tied it back up a half inning later and Maple Grove responded with three runs in the bottom of the sixth including a two-run single from Taynton. Schock shut down the Royals in the seventh and the Crimson took the W.
