Junior Beckett Shimpa (L, 2IP, 0H, 0ER, 3BB, 2K) started the game on the mound for the Crimson and took the loss; while Senior Ian Schock (4.1IP, 4H, 4ER, BB, 7K) pitched effectively in relief before the Falcons took advantage of some scoring situations in the seventh. At the plate, junior Connor Wihlm (2/3, BB) had multiple hits in the game and Maple Grove made a late attempt to rally in the seventh inning with five walks, a hit by pitch, and a couple of wild pitches allowing the home team to score three and cut the lead to two. However, it wasn't enough and the visitors from Armstrong left with a very wet 6-4 victory.
